How to make Windows 2000 function as a router

Step 1

To configure Windows 2000 as a router, go to Start select Programs and after that choose Administrative Tools. Click to Routing and Remote Access.

Routing and Remote Access Wizard will appear as shown below:

Step 2

Select Network Router and click Next to continue.

Step 3

User will be prompt for a list of protocols available, then click on Next to continue.

Another window will appear asking whether you want to configure remote access.

Step 4

Select No and click on Next to continue.

Your Routing and remote access server is done.

Step 5

Click Finish to end this. Then your services will automatically be started by Windows 2000.
