How to perform a faster search with Windows 2000

Find files over Windows 2000 is a time consume task. In order to speed up the searching process here are some of the task that you can do.

Step 1

Open up the search function by clicking Start and select Search, after that choose For Files or Folders

Step 2

From here click on Search Option . choose Indexing Service by clicking on the hyperlink.

Step 3

Select Yes to enable Indexing Service on your machine. Indexing service often exist as a catalog bind to a certain directory. You can set the catalog or add new catalog by clicking on the Advanced function here.
