How to set up Print Queue

Print queue allows printing request to be directed to a network printer (located independently on the network without connected to any printer)

Step 1

To setup a print queue, go to Start and select Control Panel , after that choose Printer. Click on Add Printer.

Step 2

Click on Local Printer and click on Next to continue. When prompted which port to use, choose Local Port.

Add port dialog will appear. Here you will need to enter the IP address of your network printer. Window will perform a search to detect the address that you have specified here.

To get information of your network printer, please refer to your printer documentation.

Step 3

Then click Next to continue. It will follow the same process of adding a printer described earlier.
